Jess Yeager

Research Coordinator

Originally from the Lone Star State, I moved to New Jersey to pursue a degree in Molecular Biology at Princeton University. As an undergraduate, I first gained research experience in Dr. Daniel Notterman’s lab during the summer between my sophomore and junior years, where I assisted in characterizing a model of repetitive traumatic brain injury in Drosophila melanogaster. This experience ignited my passion for neuroscience and deepened my curiosity about the molecular foundations of neurological diseases and disorders. I then had the privilege of conducting independent research on the role of sexual dimorphism in mediating responses to repetitive TBI during my junior and senior years.

I am passionate about using research and innovation to improve healthcare outcomes and accessibility. I am incredibly excited and grateful to join the NICC, where I look forward to contributing to a team dedicated to these goals.

Outside of work, you can find me cooking, jogging along the Esplanade, or enthusiastically participating in Clery’s Trivia, even if my team occasionally comes in last place.
