Jonathan Williams Ramirez
Research Technician
I am responsible for analyzing data for multiple projects primarily using in-vivo and ex-vivo MRI for improving neuroimaging tools such as brain atlases, automatic image segmentation, and multimodal image registration. Additionally, imaging data is being used to answer questions about consciousness and how traumatic brain injury presents in brain connectivity. Apart from medical imaging I have research interests in computer vision outside of medical imaging, art especially watercolor, and being a coffee nerd.
Before joining the Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging, I obtained his MS and BS in Biomedical Engineering, and BS in computer science from Florida International University and University of Florida respectively. Additionally, I had my first experience with research at Florida International University’s Applied Research Center in collaboration with the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory on projects investigating nuclear waste treatment for the Department of Energy’s Hanford site.
