ReBlast

The Long-term Effects of Repeated Blast Exposure on United States Special Operations Forces (ReBlast) study aims to identify biomarkers of brain injury associated with repeated, low-level blast exposure in Special Operations Forces personnel.  The ReBlast study protocol is published at Journal of Neurotrauma and posted online at ClinicalTrials.gov.

The above figure shows the multimodal neuroimaging protocol used to identify the effects of repeated blast exposure on the brains of active-duty United States Special Operations Forces personnel in the ReBlast study.  Figure reproduced from Edlow et al. Journal of Neurotrauma, 2022
