William Sanders, B.S.

Research Coordinator

I was born and raised in Arlington, MA, before moving to Maine for my undergraduate degree. I graduated from Bates College in May 2019, finishing up pre-medical requirements while completing my honors English thesis, “Some Strive to Remember, Others Wish to Forget: The Intersection of Culture and Trauma in Vietnam War Literatures.” During the summer of 2018 I interned under Dr. Joseph Giacino in the Neurorehabilitation Laboratory at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, working on the development of the Post-Acute Survey on Severe Disability after TBI (PASSD-TBI). I found this work to be deeply engaging and rewarding, so naturally I am excited and grateful to be beginning my research career at the NICC. Looking forward, I plan to apply to medical school in the next few years. In my free time I enjoy soccer in any form (playing, coaching, watching), a good book, live music, and the outdoors.
